After his friend’s suicide, Tatsumi falls into a life of despair wandering the streets. There, he meets Tsuchikawa, a vagrant who takes him under his wing. Forgotten by everyone and without a home, they are like a “location without an address,” not even numbered on a map.
友人の死をきっかけに家を飛び出した辰巳は、ひとり夜の街を彷徨う。その果てに、かつては将棋棋士だった浮浪者・土川士郎と出会い、彼と共に生きることになる。世間の誰からも忘れ去られ、家をも持たぬ彼らは、地図に番号すら振られない「番外地」のような存在といえるだろう。
I took my own life experiences, exaggerated them, and wove them together with fantasy to create an entertaining film. I put all the indescribable themes in my head into the script and devoted myself to making the film. It contains everything I had at that time. Enjoy my film for those who feel lonely in their daily lives and those who dream of freedom.
僕自身の実体験を誇張し、ファンタジーを織り交ぜながらエンターテイメントとして仕上げました。頭の中にある言語化不能なテーマを本に込めて、がむしゃらに映画と向き合いました。日々に孤独を感じている人や、自由を夢見る人たちに是非観ていただきたいです。当時の僕の全てが詰まっています。
