Born in 1994, Tokyo, Daiki Tanaka was graduated from Nihon University College of Art's film directing course, and is currently working as a freelance video creator. His college graduation project, the shot film, FILAMENT, won the Special Jury Prize at the Okinawa International Film Festival and the Kanazawa Film Festival. This hero movie has been selected and won awards at various film festivals in Japan and abroad, transcending genre boundaries. His first feature film, PARALLEL, won the Grand Prix and Filmination Award in the feature film category at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival 2021, and the Eiga.com Award at the Tanabe-Benkei Film Festival. The theatrical release for PARALLEL was September 25, 2022.
