Asato Watanabe

渡邉安悟

Asato Watanabe was born in 1994 in Osaka. After graduating from the Visual Concept Planning Department, Osaka University of Arts, he entered the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts, where he studied film direction. Currently based in Tokyo, he is a member of STARDUST DIRECTORS. His undergraduate graduation project “A Dobugawa Dream” was screened at film festivals in Japan and abroad, and was released in theaters in 2021. His directorial works include "Ferocious," “A Dobugawa Dream,” "Pecking Beak," "Tissue Handler Girl” and etc. ／ 1994年、大阪府生まれ。大阪芸術大学映像学科卒業後に東京藝術大学大学院映像研究科に進学し、映画演出を学ぶ。現在はSTARDUST DIRECTORSに所属し、東京を拠点に活動中。学部の卒業制作『ドブ川番外地』は国内外の映画祭にて上映され、2021年に劇場公開を果たす。監督作『獰猛』『ドブ川番外地』『啄む嘴』『ティッシュ配りの女の子』など。
